Paws on the South Harpeth

  • South Harpeth Organic Farm 5289 Old Harding Road Franklin, TN, 37064 United States (map)

On October 7th, 2017, the farm becomes a dog park with an incredible, clean river. Paws on the South Harpeth is a reinvention of an annual event held for the past seven years at South Harpeth Organic Farm in Franklin, TN. This year, the beneficiaries are the "underdogs". A small group of hard working animal rescue groups from Tennessee to Michigan. These organizations donate their time, their own money, and operate on limited resources dedicated to saving dogs, cats, horses, and wild critters. This year, the beneficiaries are Critter Cavalry, Hickman Humane Society, Keely's Friends Dog Rescue, Lifehouse Animal Refuge and Rehabilitation, Paws Up Outreach, Paws in Peril, R.A.R.E. Rural Animal Rescue Effort, River Edge Horse Farm Rescue, T.C.B. Kennels and Walden's Puddle . All organizations are 501(c3). Donated food and supplies will be provided to the hard core non-501(c3) individuals who are out there countless hours feeding, watering, and medicating neglected animals-every single day, all year long.
Hundreds of people have enjoyed a day on the river over the past seven years, and we invite you to return on October 7, 2017. Paws on the South Harpeth features six great bands, hay rides, food & drink, vendors, exhibitors, kayaking, art, and of course rescues: horses and adoptable pets. It is both a kid friendly and animal friendly event. Please bring your pet for a few fun filled hours on the farm.
Ten dollar ($10) admission. Kids under 10 are free.
